We will be going to a Haven park in summer but don't know which one to go to.
Last year we went to Thorpe park in Lincolnshire and fancy going somewhere different this year. Was just wondering what Haven parks you have been to and which ones you would recommend. Many thanks. Daffi x

It was originally a Butlins. It is a VERY large park and does seem very spacious, plenty of room to stroll around.
There was loads of entertainment for all ages and a great swimming complex.
It is on the Lynn peninsula and near Snowdon and the national park so there is plenty to see and do if you like the outdoors (in fact it is a great base for a walking holiday)
There is a small beach (not I great one I have to add) and also some interesting nearby towns such as Porthmadog and Criccieth (with castle).
Portmeirion, the fantasy village, is also nearby (home of the TV series The Prisoner)

You can read more about the camp here

I had 4 short breaks at Haven sites last year and we are now addicted! Primrose Valley is a huge site which has had millions spent on it during the past few years-we would definetly return. It is on beach,3 lovely pools, soft play,a lake and a huge evening entertainment area.I didn't like cala gran near Blackpool. the vans were packed together and the entertainment complex was small, old and the toilets smelly. Berwick is a lovely site -small but friendly,on the beach, the best entertainers and Berwick is only few minutes walk and is a beautiful historic town.
