I'm going to the west of Ireland in August, visiting Co Kerry and Co Clare staying at Kenmare and Doolin. I've surfed around picking up info and would be very grateful if any ABers could give me some good tips of dos and not to dos, where to eat etc. Also how long does it take to drive from Shannon airport to Kenmare, one site says 3 hours which seems a long time to do 100 km. TIA

according to the AA, the distance is nearer 100 miles rather than 100km, and their time estimate is 2hr40mn.
