Hi all
Iam going to new york for new year 09 i will be staying at the wellington but have read horror storys!!!has any one been.also flying with delta airlines from manchester not heard of these!! are they any good????leg room...etc..also can u ask for extra room at checking in for flight.thanks all

I suppose the Airline makes no difference..it's all about the 'plane they are flying at the time of your trip
You need to check when you have got your flight details what type of plane it is,then have a look at the seating plan (you can google this) and then see where the seats are with the most leg room..these are very limited so 1st come 1st served
We were due to fly Delta Airlines for our trip to NY but are now with KLM

Snap!! I too am going to New York( this summer though) and we are staying at the Wellington, there have been good and bad reviews on the web, so we are just keeping our fingers crossed. Same goes for flying with Delta, I think you will be luckier flying from Manchester as I think they fly a bigger aircraft from there, but they only fly the 767/ 200 from Edinburgh, which is just a 3 + 3 seating plan!!! I have been googling Delta arlines and getting information from there. also if you are not going till 2009 then things may change either for the better or for the worse!!
