sunny hol in next few weeks?
where are the nearest seaside holiday destinations abroad which will get guaranteed sunshine / good temperatures between now and mid-April?

The most popular (and cheapest) African destination is the Canary Islands. (The Canaries are culturally and politically European but geographically they're definitely African). Legend's figures for typical temperatures are confirmed here:

You'd probably find reasonably pleasant conditions in southern Italy or southern Spain but the Canaries offer the only real guarantee of warm sunshine unless you're prepared to travel to somewhere like the Gambia (which is

I went to Tenerife March 29th 2001 for 2 weeks. It rained and was very, very windy every single day! I have been at other times during the winter and the weather has been mixed, so I don't think you can count on the Canaries 100%.
(I went to Fuerteventura in Sept and was told that it had rained constantly for one week in May!!)

fuerteventura a lot colder due to winds than tenerife.
it rained here 2 weeks ago for a few hours .
was dried away in 20 minutes.
was cloudy other day yet still 75 degrees.
saw a man burnt like a lobster.
1 hour in sun factor 30
i lkike it here and it rarely rains
in fact almost nonoe in april /may unless its a small shower at night.
and who cares then ?
