US visa waiver programme

One year ago, i was reprimanded because i used a fake ID to enter a UK nightclub, however i was neither arrested nor convicted and the reprimand was given to me when i was 17. But iam on the UK police datavase and think i have a criminal record, because they took fingerscans etc, am i elligible for the visa waiver programme? Or will there be a problem at my port of entry in the US with my finger scans?

If you were neither arrested nor convicted then you are eligible for the visa waiver.

(Question - don't you have to be arrested prior to being reprimanded? Are you sure you weren't?)

There will be no problem at the port of entry with your finger scans - unless you are on an interpol list the US will have no record of you.

Thank you so much! Are you sure?? They can't access my ''criminal" record, either throught the biometric passport thing or finger scans? No, certainly wasn't arrested, police officer was v.nice and told me he could have arrested me but told me to go to police station a week later for prints etc.

They cannot access your criminal record at the point of access to the US.

Juvenile deliquency is not moral turpitude and is therefore ignored in access/visa decisions.

Oh and your biometric passport contains NO information on the chip that is not also printed in clear on the passport.

I would advise that you:-

1. Obtain a copy of your CRB record to put your mind at rest
2. Make enquiries as to why the police took your prints when you were not arrested.

Ok, my mind is at rest, iv been worrying so much, i mean it was soo minor i cant believe that i would get in trouble with US for such a silly thing. Thanks a lot
