passport validity

off to spain 1st june. passport runs out 29/sept/08. am i still o.k to travel . just that someone told me that i need 6 months cllear on it, i think they are wrong but.... thanks in advance.

you are okay, it's in the EU so as long as it's still valid when you leave for home, no problem

EU nationals are only required to produce evidence of their EU nationality and identity in order to be admitted to any EU Member State. This evidence can take the form of a valid national passport or national identity card. Either is acceptable. Passports held by EU nationals need only be valid upon entry to and exit from Spain
