I've found more than once that I've forgotten to pack the belt for trousers I'd just washed

Alarm clock in case you need to get up early for coach trips etc. Ear plugs, especially if you are on the ground floor of a hotel and the people make lots of noise on the marble floors above you at 4 in the morning (or the couple next door are on their honeymoon!). A couple of mini reels of cotton and a needle for emergency repairs. Names and addresses for post cards. A small hand held fan. If you have a brochure with the details of the holiday, take that so if you don't get what you paid for, you can show the rep/manager the brochure. Have a good holiday.

Passport if you are going abroad, travellers cheques/money, hair bands (if female!), camera, telephone numbers of next of kin for all parties on your trip, toothbrush because it is always the last thing you do before leaving and you always put it back in the holder if you are anything like me! Batteries, shaving foam, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, flannel, towels, clothes, swimming costumes (one wet, one dry), first aid kit and most importantly, YOURSELF! Have a good one!
