Do I have to have my married name on my passport if I just got married in Dec and my passport is in my maiden name?

You can travel on your maiden name passport for as long as you like, provided you book any flight tickets (or package holidays) in the name in your passport. Indeed, there's no need to change your name at all - many married women retain their single names for all purposes.
No, my friend got married in Hawaii so you don't need to change it. She has only just changed it I think because she is going to live in Australia but she got married in January and has a house in France that she visits at least once a month and she has been to the Maldives on it too.
I didn't think that many women changed their name on marriage any more. It's terribly quaint.
Getting married on Saturday. Wife-to-be still has her maiden (current) name on the passport, so I hope it's ok!! She's going to put her maiden name as a second middle name, just like my nan did. Which is nice.
Can't understand why any woman would want to change her name, just beacause she got married.Especially when there is no legal reason to,and all the hassle and expense of letting everyone know.
