Does it have a good selection of bars / cafes . We are a 2 x hubby and wifes and like to socialize but dare i say it not with some of the alleged "lager louts" if you know what i mean
costa adeje, fanabe or los cristianos. still wouldnt touch las americas with a barge pole! check out trip advisor for reviews of accomodation, its very helpful.
Los cristianos! i'm off there in just over a week staying at the H10 hotel oasis morque judging by the reviews it seems to be for the slightly older person
looking forward to peace and quiet!
we stayed in las americas at the vulcano which is central and it was lovely.
bad behaviour normally by our lot is during high season .
there are some lovely walks nearby and plenty of family night life.
Costa Adeje looks a good prospect. We stayed at Playa de las Americas (at the La Siesta Hotel) and we found the resort a very pleasant surprise. We thought it was going to be chip shops and English bars. Not so. You can walk along the sea front to either Los Cristianos to the north or Costa Adeje to the south. The walk to Costa Adeje is exceptionally pretty and full of cafes and bars.
Check out Los Cristianos before booking. In March this year the whole sea front was being reconstructed. I am sure it will be wonderful on completion but it was pretty awful then. But that was 6 months ago. The Sunday market at Los Cristianos was full of tat but you have to see for yourself.
Do go to Loro Parque. It is well worth the trip.
Enjoy your holiday. We have booked again for next year - at the Hotel Vulcano.
