I have recently booked a holiday to the maldives, and have been told that Nat Wests Advantage Gold free travel insurance is adequate cover. I am a little sceptical, can anyone reassure me that it is ok? Why do I have concerns regading the words Bank and 'Free'. I guess its not free, but i'm still concerned.

Hi RHeathfield,
I can't tell you about the insurance, but I can tell you about the Maldives. I went nearly 4 years ago for my 50th birthday, and what a truely magical place the Maldives is. "Parkers" posted a question on here on the 7th October, asking about the Maldives, so I sent her some photo's. Have you ever been before?
You are sooooooo lucky. We were saving to go agin but we need a new roof, but having looked at all the photo's again, I want to say sod the roof, and keep changing the buckets, the rains got to stop sometimes.........:-)

xx
it's simple - get a copy from the bank about what is covered with this insurance. If you are happy with it and it covers all you want, and dosent have any significant exclusions that worry you - great. If not, get some cover you are happy with. Dont rely on what other people say
I have no idea about the travel insurance but bearing in mind that the "free breakdown cover worth 60" will only get you towed 10 miles froim where you break down id say its doubtful the travel insurance is worth much at all
