My family and I (2 adults, 2 kids aged 2 and 4) are going to Oslo next month. Any ideas on cutting what seems like extreme costs? We are renting a self-catering flat, but still enjoy a friendly restaurant. (And we are all strict vegetarians- no fish!)

Thank you!!!

Usual advice would be... for lunch, pop into a branch of Spar, buy some ham and cheese, and a roll or two, and knock up your own sanwiches.

For dinner, salmon or cod , potatoes, a green veg, and a white sauce.

Total staples in Norway. But for 'strict vegetarians' ... can't help you there I'm sorry to say...
