My wife and I (elderly folk) are considering 2 weeks in the Maritimes this summer. Nova Scotia is very difficult to get to from the north of England . My questions are
1 Is it worth the effort
2 Is there enough to interest us over 2 weeks
3 Should we try getting to New England ie Bar Harbor

Nova Scotia is lovely in summer. Halifax is interesting but try to spend a day in Lunenburg, a fishing village - English colonial style - that is on the UN historic places register.

I don't know much about PEI but isn't the original Anne of Green Gables house there?
