The airport is a complete nightmare. Luggage is not on the belt they say it is. Staff are running round screaming and shouting at each other, but once you are out of the airport the weather should be wonderful. Have a good time! We only passed thru there on the way to somewhere else, so can't help you with tips, but I am sure your rep will.
1) take a couple of cardigans for the nighttime it gets chilly
2) If you go quad biking take your own bottled water they rip u off at the stop.
3) if you go quad biking wear long sleeves and full leg trousers or the sand will blast your skin raw.
4) if you plan to dive be very sure the boat has a padi instructor and ask to see the license.
5) if you want to dive take your own regulator.
6) wear a brightly coloured dive hood so the boat can see you when you surface along way off from whwere they said you would be met.
7) take a good book if you don;t do water sports.
We went to Sharm in February and had the best holiday ever. Take loads of 1 coins for tipping, if you are going AI you don't need Egyptian Pounds sterling will do or US Dollars. We went AI and were pestered for a while when we fist got there to go on trips etc but if you say a firm no they will leave you alone. We did need coats and cardys at night but at beginning of May it may be ok. Oh yes do take a flannel cos they don't provide one in the bathrooms because they are Muslims they believe in washing in running water only!! Have a great time cos we did it was fab.
