Advanced Passenger information

In July my partner and I will be flying to Palma. I currently reside in Germany and she lives in the UK. Question is, seeing as we are both flying from Germany, will both of us, OR either of us have to provide this 'advanced passenger information' to Ryanair???

Neither of you will need to provide it as the flight is within the Schengen area.

the Schengen area is a border-free zone involving soome EU countries - Germany and Spain though not the UK. Internal travel in this zone is treated the same as domestic travel.

I don't know about Ryanair's internal rules, though. They may want to check your bank balance to ensure that you have enough funds to pay to use the loos in flight.

so if she is flying to Germany via the UK, will that not make a difference.

Not sure about Ryanair but when you book to fly to Spain with Easyjet on line, you get a prompt to enter your API and it is backed up with e-mail elerts if you continue not to update your booking.

If you are boarding your Ryanair flight in Germany that's in Schengen. The flight is to Spain. That's in Schengen. You don't need API.

Don't understand what you mean by 'if she is flying to Germany via the UK'. She's not flying to Germany, she's flying to Spain. The fact that she may have flown to Germany from somewhere (doesn't matter where) previously is irrelevant. The Germany - Spain flight is an independent entity.

It's all explained in tedious detail on the Ryanair website anyway. If API was required I doubt if you could complete the booking without supplying it.

If you are required to provide this information, you will automatically be sent an email, and you can click on the link from there, in order to provide your passport details, DOB and passport expiry date (I think). I only ever have to do this with Ryanair. Possibly with Easyjet, but it's a while since I've flown with them.
