Hotel Continental, Whitstable .. a No- Go ?

Has anyone ever stayed there ?? Was thinking of going but the reviews on Trip Advisor are the worst I've ever seen !! What do you think ? How do these places stay open ?

Hi smurfchops, my parents recently had a trip to a hotel in Torquay that had terrible reviews on TripAdvisor and they had a great time there. In the reviews a lot of people said just about everything in the hotel was bad including the food but my parents said the food and the hotel were really good. I went to the hotel myself and couldn't fault it. You will always get people who had bad experience at a place and they are the ones that often write the reviews. If everyone who had good time wrote reviews there would be thousands of them. I have had a look at TripAdvisor and there are a few good reports on the hotel too. I think it's really a case of you need to go to the place to be able to come to decision yourself. Have you put on question in TripAdvisor and see what type of replies you get. Good luck
