I bought a ticket from phoenix to honolulu thru salt lake city. i want to board the plane in salt lake on the trip over. what problems might I have?

In Engaland if you dont take first leg of return journey then return half used to be cancelled automaticaly ( This was in days when a return flight sometimes cost less than two singles ). I would suggest that you contact airline to find what their policy is.

You are posting this on a mainly UK based site so it is unlikely you will get a definitive answer. However in my opinion you wouldn't even be allowed to check in because you will be a "no show" for the flight from Pheonix. Talk to the airline and they may allow you to do this.

You will be classed as a " No show" therefore if somebody in Phoenix is on standby they will be allocated your seat.

Trust me there will not be any problem with you when you down to salt lake city. This city may had some sought of spiral activities in the past but now this city is safe to travel with all your family and friends. The place you travel or anywhere in the world you should take your eye's and ear's open, i mean you required to waked up ever time because it will be the place or city that you never know as compare to your locals.
