East Coast train Peterborough to York
5 Answers
Hi, am travelling East Coast trains Peterborough to York on Xmas Eve (leaving Peterborough 13:17) returning Sun 27 Dec (leaving York 11:53). Am ordering tickets tonight, should I reserve my seat?, never been on this line before so have no idea at all how busy it would be on those days. Any help greatly appreciated, I do not want to have to wander up and down the train looking for a seat if at all possible. Thanks James

Trains on the East Coast Mainline, around Christmas, often seem to be like that (particularly on Christmas Eve)! Travelling without a seat reservation (and the determination to insist that the person you find sitting in your seat actually lets you use it) is absolute madness.
