Has anyone got any experience of a weekend break in Ireland, preferably Cork.  I would like to surprise my partner with a weekend break there, I would prefer to stay in either a small hotel or pub where all the main action is at a reasonable price, looking to go sometime in March. Any other information in regards of what to do and see etc greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I can't help you with accomodation, but you can get some pretty cheap flights with Ryanair. We went to Cork a couple of weeks back for a daytrip(!) and with parking at Stansted and cab/bus fares to Cork centre, it cost us less than 50 for two. Ryanair's fares were 1p and 10p and it was only the taxes that cost much. I shouldn't think it would be hard to find a decent priced hotel or pub.
