My fiancee can't afford first class :( we are but proles. does anyone have any past experience/knowledge to answer: if, on our honeymoon, we head to the check-in desk nice n' presentable telling them that we got married the day before and asked what was the chance of getting bumped up to first class as a treat, how likely is a positive response? I am being greedy i know- we want to enjoy the high life though we cant afford it :)

thanks in advance...

Hussy !
JJ LOL ! Is that why these Cable cars rock so much :-)
Well, redman, if you and the BF are the last of your group to go up the mountain ...

... and you find you have the gondola to yourselves ... !!

... and 10 or 15 minutes to play with ... !

I think it's important to do these things.
On the subject of extra leg room (see as sqad brought it up)

I can not physically fit in a standard economy class seat (I'm just too tall!) so I always have to state that as I will not fit in the seats I need an extra leg room seat, so far I have always been given one without having to pay extra... but it would really p1ss me off if an airline said I did have to pay extra just because I am not an average size.

In fact if one did try and make me pay extra I'd probably refuse and then see what happens when they realise that the only way I can fit in a normal seat is to have an aisle seat and sit sideways with my legs across the aisle.
One of these days you will get Photographed by the Swiss Mountain Rescue Team and the Film will be shown to everyone doing a First Aid Course. 'Mouth to ! resucitation' lol
I doubt it, redman ...

It's pretty isolated up in one of those gondolas ...

... and VERY high up in the air.
Depends on the airline I think. When we went to the States for our Silver Wedding, our daughter, phoned the airline and we were upgraded to Business, we were already in their Frequent Flier programme and had flown with them before. Go ready to stand down if the time's available, we've had some really good upgrades that way!
when u say u cant afford the upgrade, are you on the dole, or in lowly paid jobs eg shelf stackers. or just too mean to pay for the upgrade. do you both drive and smoke out of curiousity

lol
