I am planning a trip to Longleat next week. I want to see the house as well as the safari park. Can we visit the house first when we get there and then visit the safari park later in the day when it should be a bit quieter?

as far as I know you can visit either or both in whatever order (but it's 20 years since I was there). But I have no idea when the safari park is quietest.

I would think the house will get busier as the day goes on, not the other way round.
If you're buying the passport ticket, you don't have to do everything on the same day, you can use it from now till October.
I think most people head for the safari park first (the monkey enclosure is closed at the moment) and then drive straight from there to the car park. Just make sure you plan to get to the safarii park before 5 as that is the last entry time.
