Generally expect near 70 degrees at Christmas in Phoenix... only a little cooler in Tucson due to the higher altitudes. Puzzled... Las Vegas and especially the Grand Ganyon are not good choices if you're expecting decent weather in February. The Grand Canyon's South Rim (where most visitors go) is 7,000 feet above sea level the North Rim is 8,000 and not even open except May to October. Always go prepared for cold weather ...

I lived in San Diego for 12 years and we always went to the beach on Christmas day. Usually wearing shorts and a tee shirt. If that is warm enough for you, it is an intersting place to visit. A lot to see and do for both adults and children. Contrary to what people are saying, most of the southern states have reasonable warm weather during December. With the climate change, it is a crap shoot as to what you are going to get any place in the world you go.
