BIG FREEZE...

Have just read that the "Beast from the east" is arriving next week to Britain from abroad...Will be freezing temperatures and snow etc.

Yes i also read that it will be the coldest winter for 100 years.
It was quite mild last winter so we will be in for a shock by the sound of it.

I heard it on the news this morning. Why do we British have to make such a big deal of winter weather. After all their 'beast from the East' news they predicted up to 4 inches of snow in some areas. 4 inches is nothing, the rest of Europe seem to cope.

I hate winter, cold weather always causes my arthritis to flare up, it's a real pain in the bum when our road becomes impassable because of snow, but...... I love snow and ice! There's just something so magical about snow, and my inner child just can't wait. Bring it on!

oh dear, the Met Office promising us a barbecue winter now, are they? They have such a good track record in these things.

I love the snow, but only when I'm snuggled up cosy in the house, hate walking on it when it's been frozen over.

Walking over the Hungerford Bridge in London this morning I was convinced it was linking the Southbank with Siberia, I couldn't believe how cold it was.

As long as I have adequate wine, gin, vodka and mixers in the house I can live on the contents of the freezer and the cupboard. The vegman has always managed to get through bad weather so I can rely on him for the fresh stuff.

Must admit,,i love the snow too.
Find it really exciting and think it is beautiful (obviously i know the bad side to it aswell,people slippping,accidents etc)
