Just thought I'd start this thread for any folk who are having to travel anywhere today in the teeth of the storm we're currently experiencing.

Down here the police are warning people and they've got sandbags at the ready and those who live near the river and other low lying areas have been told to leave their homes and go to emergency centres from early afternoon .
We could get a tidal surge at 22.30 tonight .I'm glad I live high up in the town Tides could be six feet higher than normal and it could be as bad as the floods of '53 .Pretty scary .
