Iibm Trusteer Rapport Yes/no ?

Hi all, my bank has requested me to install Trusteer Rapport , now IBM--. My local 'techie' says it is this program that is seriously slowing down my netbook. Any views whether it is needed or not would be appreciated, P

Resource-hogging by Trusteer Rapport has been mentioned here lots of times. Unless you're compelled to install it, I'd advise against it:

My bank told me years ago and Ive had no problems on my mac computers.

I well recall my bank telling me I should install their security program - ended with a full system restore and lots of pointless ranting at an indian call centre.

Rapport slowed me right down , had to get rid.

I have had no problem with Rapport.

Thanks all, I don't seem to have any slow down problems with my desk top just with my netbook,which is slow to start with, back to scratch head time or to 'flip-a coin', P
