The tap connectors under the sink in my cloakroom are those flexible ones.... covered with a sort of mesh.
The wire meshing on one has broken up into tiny and nasty sharp pieces exposing the cord piping inside.....it's leaking very slightly.
The second pipe looks likely to go the same way.
The bathroom guy is coming to sort it this week but......is this a common problem with this type of piping.....or was it just the quality of the one supplied when I had the cloakroom redone?
Is there anything I should ask for to avoid this happening again?
Thank you, Mr Builder.....comparing it with the other two sinks today I think it's been bent too much. It's a tiny sink over a cupboard in a very small cloakroom.
The plumber who fitted it no longer works for the company....a small local business who've been really good with the other work done for me.
I could replace it myself but it also means taking off the cupboard door...he put it on opening the wrong way.....so I shall let the chap come and look and they will foot the bill if they think it's the fault of the original plumber....now I know it's not a common fault I think it probably is....
