Why does my Kawasaki ZX6R not want to go faster than 30mph?
Whenever I go over 30 mph my bike seems to seize up, its very embarrassing as it means I can't speed up and it feels downright dangerous when it happens.I can't seem to explain it. I took my bike to the garage and they road tested it saying it was fine, and the problem was due to my riding style. I have made sure that I have no contact with any gears/brakes when the problem occurs to ensure I am not making the bike seize unwittingly. I am riding in a straight line and it still seems wrong. Anyone any insight?

Now I've been quite happy exceeding my personal speed threshold before but now its like the rear end is seizing up. Can't think of a better way to explain it. My instinct tells me that its nothing to do with my riding style. Maybe oil change or chain issue, but surely the garage would have picked up on that!
get someone who has been riding bikes for a while to give it a carefull roadtest.also check the discs as soon as you get off the bike see if they are hot. caution though if the braskes are binding the discs will be very hot.
