It hasn't taken long for it to strike. I fell asleep on the sofa just after midnight and woke up about half an hour later. My brand new glasses which I had had in my possession for just over 8 hours (£279 if you want to know) had gone AWOL from my face. I found I had been laid on them and they are now mangled grrr

poor you gness, easily done, that's why I have now kiddy proof unbreakables, yes they look like kids glasses but I don't care anymore, I have sat on, trod on and lost so many pairs for me its the only answer.
I had to laugh when Anne Widecombe said she was always loosing her glasses, so she kept spares in every room and one night at bedtime she found five pairs down her bosom !!

Shouldn't be a problem to fix. In France, I arrived for a choir performance, put my sun(prescription) glasses on the edge of the stage behind me - there for the pop group and their multitudinous equipment - (because it is a distance prescription and I can't read well with them on) and found at the end of our slot that someone had stood on them --- I couldn't even get them on my nose! The local optician straightened them out with no problem the next day :)
