How Can I Get Outlook.com To Accept My Emails

I currently use tiscali and talktalk for my internet provider.
As everyone now knows they have problems and have become very slow. So I send some important files to my outlook.com account because I can usually pick them up anywhere instantly.
Just recently my messages have been rejected by outlook.com if they come from tiscali. They are OK if sent from a gmail account. Does anyone know how I can rectify this?

Tiscali still exist?
It's possible that the request is timing out if Tiscali are having problems.
Maybe Outlook flags them as undeliverable after so many attempts.

How are they 'rejected'? If they're getting through to Outlook.com but simply being sent to your 'Spam' folder then all you should need to do is to go to that folder, click on one of the emails and then on 'Not spam' (or however Outlook.com labels it).

However if they're simply being 'bounced' then it might be more difficult.

If Outlook.com's server is, for some strange reason, configured to bounce all mail from Tiscali (irrespective of who it's intended for) you might not be able to do anything about it.

But if Outlook.com's server is configured to bounce Tiscali mail directed specifically to your account, you should be able to counter that setting by whitelisting the address that the mail is coming from:

Better still though, ditch Outlook (which, from its earliest days as Hotmail has always been a lousy service) and get yourself a decent email account ;-)

How long has this been happening? I'm also with Tiscali/TalkTalk and have not been able to send e-mails for 3 days. I rang them and they said there was an 'outage' that make take a few hours or up to a week to fix.

I have the same situation Prudie.

Which means that Outlook.com is rejecting mail from me! Oh dear!

If anyone is still interested here is the reason for the rejection:

550 SC-004 Mail rejected by Outlook.com for policy reasons. A block has been placed against your IP address because we have received complaints concerning mail coming from that IP address. We recommend enrolling in our Junk Email Reporting Program (JMRP), a free program intended to help senders remove unwanted recipients from their email list. If you are not an email/network admin please contact your Email/Internet Service Provider for help.
It looks like your ISP uses dynamic IP addresses and that you've been assigned one that was previously used by a spammer.

Check your current IP address here:
http://whatismyipaddress.com/

Disconnect your router from your phone line/cable. Wait for a minute or two. Reconnect. Go to the same link to check that your IP address has changed.

You should then have fixed the problem. However it would still be worth running a full virus and malware check on your computer, just in case someone has remotely gained access to it and is routing their spam through it.
well chris i´v e just signed up to gmx. as i´m also fed up of outlook now.

That looked like an excellent idea Buenchico and so I did what you suggested. I got a fresh IP address.
I'm afraid it had no effect. My subsequent message from my tiscali address was rejected. I also sent emails from my gmail and GMX accounts using the same laptop all arrived immediately.
Conclusion: Outlook.com does not like Tiscali/TalkTalk.
Before you do all that hoo-hah I got exactly the same message on Tuesday. I think it's just that their e-mail currently has a problem that is being worked on apparently. I don't believe anything to do with spammers or too many e-mails. it's just a corrupt error message because the system is down.

you are probably right Prudie, but having been with Tiscali/talktalk and Homechoice before that for all the years that I've used internet I'm am finally coming to the end of my patience. So will be off to another provider as soon as I can arrange it. The cost saving isn't worth the aggravation.
Yes we are in the same position having been with Tiscali for years. Currently tied into a 2 year deal but will think long and hard when it runs out. The biggest thing that pees me off is talking to someone in India that I can't understand every time there's a problem.

One thing I have discovered since I asked this question is that it is not so much my IP address that is being rejected by Hotmail/Outlook but that of TalkTalk/Tiscali. It seems that this is a problem that goes back for years. This provider has been very popular with spammers so we all get tarnished.
