For Once, Praise For Bt.
With the winds down here, the line went down about midday. Called in at 12 and they were referring it to Open Reach as India couldn't see the problem - phone back at 3.
Just got back from the s-market and tea room and went over the line from here for the first half mile - there we were, 600 yards up and over the hill and , lo and behold, the line drooping over the hedge, a section square onto the southwesterly barrelling through here. Back up and running 20 minutes ago, though fingers crossed now, the strongest winds expected from 5 to 6 pm and the exposure here being some 3 miles of old line to the local exchange.
However, recovering the line in 2 hours from the second call, that's good, though the mater is listed as priority on their system for the dementia aspects.....
So any other good stories as to line recovery?
It's blowing a fair hooly out there, fortunately little rain on the wind now.
