Hp Deskjet 3055A Printer
3 Answers
The top of words are sliced off when I print a document. I've run an alignment and also cleaning of cartridges but with no luck. I am using genuine HP cartridges and have also downloaded HP Support Assistant, but at the moment the problem is worse than ever, i.e. all the words are unintelligible. Any suggestions, as I have a 280 page document to print? By the way although this is an inexpensive printer, it is only about 2 years old and I expected it to last longer than this.

Meanwhile, I would suggest that you download and run HP's...Print & Scan Doctor to see if it is able to help resolve your problem.

When did you last use the printer? All inkjet printers need to be used at least once per week (even if it's only for a test print) in order to be certain that the printheads won't clog. (Yes, you can often get away with a far longer interval but it's not actually advisable).
Clean the heads again (using the 'deep clean' option if your printer offers that facility) and then again and again . . ..
I've known it to take 6, or even 10, runs of the head cleaning cycle before the problem clears fully.
