Found it - OK I have confirmation from some very kind people of 25 b) and therefore (to my own satisfaction have all the answers to the Sunday Times Travel quiz.
Given the help I've received from this site I'm happy to answer anyone's questions from now until midnight tonight . (be patient I do have to pay a visit etc now and then but post your question on the sunday times travel quiz on this thread and I'll tell you the answer (no 'I'll trade you' cr*p or anything like that - just straight answers - if you don't agree fine but I think I have all of the correct answers).
is there more than one source for rajast etc? do you feel ok on this one? i cant find pics or descriptions to back it up. would'nt walk to the pub here tonight --pelting down!
Not raining here and the kronenburg v.good thanks .
As for Rajasthan - this seems to cause no end of argument. All I can say is that I got a post from someone who said they had been there and had seen the building in question for definite. (of course they could be fibbing but I've not yet come across any deliberate decit on this site so I doubt it.) I guess the only thing I can say is that I belive them and I will be putting Rajasthan, india as my own answer for 24 a).
Cheers
andy
net family - I already did in answer to one of your previous posts but here it is again : 14 d) Madrid, 17 c) Sydney, 32 b) Concorde, 32 d) UNESCO World Heritage sites, and 37) 37.Cyprus, Ibiza, Crete
cheers andy
andy---i agree that the site seems to be fairly up front and honest but there must be someone reading this who can confirm that it is rajest.. india or elsewhere! wine (and senses) nearly gone!
Tom to be honest this is a question (32 d) that my wife answered after many hours searching on the net. I can't guarantee theanswer for it is right any more than any other but I believe her research was correct. If you have contrary evidence though by all means let me know
cheers
andy
okay andy buxton thanks once again...the only one i am yet to be convinced is 24a - i guess it may be best to post that picture on an India website and get someone in India to confirm - i am Indian BTW but one can never be sure with a picture like that - I hope the Toledo in 32d refers to Toledo Spain and not Toledo Ohio - I have been to the latter and certainly did not see any spa or heritage there but that was 18 years ago!
Tom incidentally though, I've been to Graz and its more famous for perfum manufacturing - not heard it's a psa town myself but I was a kid then so who knows.
The Unesco site (correct as of 2003) does not list Salvador de Bahia and Valletta - so I am not so sure of them being World Heritage Sites - Where did you see them listed Andy?
and this one http://whc.unesco.org/sites/cities.htm
so that makes it pretty certain - you sure couldn't call Graz a spa at the best of times. Are we sure it's Rajastan - what about Yemen - still my bet!!
