I think a green paper comes first themn the white paper.
I think the answer could be green something -someone who is green is raw/immature with room for improvement. But I can't think of an obvious word to follow it. Green shoot?

Yes f-f that's what attracted me to Green House. Having said that Brown Field or Brown Study reenter the frame!
