To be coldly analytical, is it not discarded, as opposed to produced? ;) (i'm bored)

Assuming there are 7 billion people on this planet and assuming that they clip their nails once a week and assuming that each person discards (OK!!!) 1 gm of nail clippings then that makes by my calculation ten thousand kilograms of nail clippings each day ie: 1000 tons each day.........and we are worried about global warming.
but I don't see any of them in the street or flaoting in the air, and so they must be biodegradable, or in the last few milleniums we would have drowned in them
That's not a mental image i want this close to tea-time dot.!
I guess they are produced at exactly the same rate as they are discarded dot. Then they are melted down for use in tofu.
I have been collecting my fingernail and toenail clippings for about the last 16 years. I have just weighed the pot and it's about 80 grammes. That makes c.5g per person per year, which is 32000 tonnes per year for 6400 million people, which is c.100 tonnes per day.
