Thanks for the link - the site confirms that you have to be a resident of th US to enter. I had assumed that was the case - until I got a few emails inferring that I could be eligible to enter from sunny Scotland.

That's not quite correct, emeritus. I know that we Canadians can enter that lottery; however, we have to purchase the ticket in the States. Also, we pay a tax of 30% on the winnings rather than 25%. The Canadian Government does not tax us on the winnings. The PowerBall corp. strongly advises not to buy a ticket through a third-party. Now whether a British Citizen could buy a ticket whilst in the States, I don't know. But, if we can I don't see why you couldn't.
