Straw Poll About Gift Of Whisky...
8 Answers
Not posted on here for a while but I have a little dilemma and looking for some views.
It's soon going to be my 20th anniversary and whilst we are aren't that big on gifts etc, I thought this could do with marking :). I've more or less decided on a nice bottle of Whisky. My husband likes a nice malt.
The dilemma is that I can either get a 20 year old to celebrate 20 years or I can get one distilled in 1996, the year we got married but that would have been bottled after 17, 18 or 19 years at most.
I cannot find anything that was distilled in 1996 and is a 20 year old having been bottled already this year. i suspect they don't start bottling until later in the year. The 20 year olds tend to be a little more expensive and stronger, he isn't fussed about a whisky being stronger usually and doesn't tend to get anything quite that mature normally
So, if you had the choice, what would you buy?

Thanks guys.
Yes Maizie, I've had no problem finding possibles (though they are expensive) it was just trying to decide what to get :) Though my filters wont let me open anything from the whisky exchange for some reason and keeps asking for filters to be turned off for other shops, the computer obviously thinks I am under 18 :)

Another site here annie. Did you know that there is a worldwide shortage of single malt, aged whisky. Prices have shot up and investors are pilling in and buying up stock, and making massive profits.
