Similar To A Sparrow

We get a small bird visiting our feeder which looks very much like a sparrow but has a small downward black mark on its cheeks.Any ideas ?

No but the male has dark round the eye and chin, it depends how precise fishing's description is and I agree tree sparrow seems most likely, certainly more likely than some other suggestions

Since Plonkie mentioned it, i'm erring towards the tree sparrow, the cheek markings seem to check this out.
