Long Lonesome Road
3 Answers
A married woman was driving home through the dusty lands of New Mexico in her flat bed Ford, when she saw an elderly Apache woman walking along the side of the road. she stopped the truck and asked the old lady if she could offer her a lift.
with a silent nod, the old lady climbed into the cab.
There was an awkward silence between the two as the traveled along the long straight road.
The old Apache woman looked around her and noticed a red gift bag and inquired "whats in the bag ?".
Oh... thats just a bottle of whiskey, I got for my husband.
The Apache woman was silent for a minute or so, the speaking with the quiet wisdom of a tribal elder, said "good trade"
