hello everyone,

i looked in my tank today to find that i had lots of tiny amber balls in it.i looked on the internet to find out out wot they were and it turns out they're eggs!BUT on the saturday night i found one of my fish dead after having it for 2 years (boo-hoo) and now i've only got one left how is it possible that it's laid eggs? and why has it decided now to lay them now.

if you want to keep the eggs, you need to take the goldfish out as it will eat them

They probably laid the eggs on saturday. They can't lay the eggs on their own and if they did, all the eggs would be infertile and turn white.

As mentioned above, if you want to raise the babies, you'll need another tank with a small filter in and some pond weed. Babies will eat fry flake food and should be fed little and often.

You'll need to change 5% of the water for clean water every other day.

Good luck
