Are You Lucky?

Do you consider yourself lucky or are you one of those who never have any luck in your life?

I am lucky in that I was born in a prosperous country, with a brain and body that work. Can't complain. I wouldn't say I was particularly lucky. I've never won the lottery, but I've never had anything particularly terrible happen. I would think most of us are on the Middle of the bell curve.

Depends on how I choose to look at it. On a day to day basis I am confronted with a never ending stream of things that apparently opt to go wrong or be a problem with no obvious reason why it should be so. On the other hand I was born into a relatively rich area of the world, even if it is nowhere near perfect, and my country has avoided wars large enough to cause conscription and my being fired at, so that is a major plus.
Clove - I agree - and well done BA
I said that to a Yank - " you must think being born American you won the first prize in Life " which is a gloss on one a hundred years ago ( substitute british empire ) and instead got a load of old crap from the lucky life winner
whilst I wondered why she hadnt said the shorter more correct answer : 'yes'. Instead I got an off-key oscar acceptance speech - if my Dad hadnt etc etc...
Napoleon used to ask before promotion of his generals
is he lucky ?
sort of groping towards people make their own luck
Ilie Nastase capped that with: the more I practise the luckier I get
so I s'pose ..... the people who say they are unlucky ..... wont practise.
