I watched it for about half an hour until it disappeared down the side of the house.
I'm quite chuffed. Only ever seen extinct ones by the roadside before!

Wouldn't mind if they had just had a nibble on the way through. They stay for an hour or more and devour kilos of seed, and this can happen every night throughout the spring and early summer. Costs me a fortune...
ur resident hedgehog survived the winter although I removed the log pile under which it was residing( I replaced it with superior insulation), It got caught up in the netting over my veg. patch which is there to prevent the neighbour's ******* cats from sh****g on my seed beds. It took about half an hour to snip away the threads. Last night I found a GLOW WORM and the nightingale has managed to eat the 50 or so chafer bugs that I removed from the compost heap...so far so good.
