The Gun Used To Shoot Dead Unarmed Florida Teenager Trayvon Martin….
… is to be sold at auction. George Zimmerman, who shot the boy, says he is selling the gun partly to raise funds to fight "Hillary Clinton's anti-firearm rhetoric", and describes the weapon on the auction site as ‘An American Icon’.

> I am afraid I make the mistake of remembering what happens in the UK when a police officer lawfully slays a perp in the course of his duty
The differences between that scenario and the Trayvon Martin case are:
1) George Zimmerman was not a police officer, he was Neighbourhood Watch(!)
2) Trayvon Martin was not a "perp"
Sad to say, he was "lawfully slain" though .... apparently.

Retrocop Your answer at 17.02 shows what I mean about USA gun culture.
They have a RIGHT to own guns under the constitution, just because you have shot someone dead does not take away your right to own a gun, if that was true a lot of US cops would be unarmed. The situation is so different to the UK that the two can never be compared.

It's back up again, apparently, but I think that internet democracy is interfering with the auction... (Racist McShootface)
