I use internet chat rooms to play music and to friends alike but the only way i can do it is by putting the mic to the speaker. surely there is a way of being able to do this internally? for example on yahoo you have to hold down the talk button (i have a program that holds it down for me) then i play media player or winamp and it plays. can i do it internally so i don't wake the whole house up?
Sure - bring up your mixer by double clicking the speaker down by your Windows clock. Then go to Options... Properties and select "Adjust volume for Recording". Tick the "Wave Out Mix" option if you have it.
Yes lisaj is correct. However, on my computer it is not called "Wave Out Mix". I instead have two options, "Stereo Mix" and "Mono Mix". If your setup is the same as mine, tick the "Select" box under "Stereo Mix".
i have xp so there is no speaker icon, but i can go to that window via control panel. on the left there is volume control and next to it is wave. but there is nothing to tick, only has a mute box.
should i disconnect my mic?
if you are using winamp have you tried shoutcast? http://www.shoutcast.com/
