Help Frozen Tv!

I have a f
finlux tv. It suddenly froze and no amount of pressing remote or switching on and off has any effect.
Has anyone any idea what I can do please.

I have switched it off at the plug but nothing happened. It is frozen on BBC1.

Is it definitely the tv or a sky or other provider box or cable supplier? Is the tv on but just stuck on one channel, or after switching off it just goes back to the same channel?

We watch it through a humax box.

I have just gone onto source button and taken it of scart which is humax box. I put it onto tv and it is now working. I don't know what will happen to the programmes I set to record tonight though!

Haha are you sure your box isn't frozen Caran?

Do the same with the humax box Caran. It looks like it needs a reboot.

Power OFF the box.
Disconnect the Aerial cable
Power On the box
Press MENU
Select Installation
Enter your password (default = 0000)
Select Default Setting
Select YES
Enter your password (Default = 0000)
When the box restarts, power off
Connect the Aerial Cable
Power ON – the box will then search for the channels.
