do you mean the French equivalent of the British YTS programme or the translation of the words Youth Training Scheme?

The French used to have a scheme called "Travail d'Utilit� Collective" (TUC) designed to help find employment for the young unemployed; but this has more recently been replaced by the "Contrat Emploi-Solidarit�" which covers unemployed 16 to 25s, the long-term unemployed and unemployed over-50s. I suspect that trying to find exact parallels between UK and French employment measures would be next to impossible.

AFEC is the equivalent as far as I know . They organise practical training and working exchanges to various European nations as well as within France itself.
