Uk Becoming More Ethnically Segregated, Warns Mp
//Britain is becoming more ethnically segregated and people may seek "Donald Trump style" solutions if politicians do not act, an MP has warned.
Former Labour shadow minister Chuka Umunna blamed the widening "cracks in our communities" on a lack of action since race riots 15 years ago.
The Streatham MP also criticised the immigration debate for focusing "almost exclusively on numbers, with too little attention paid to how we integrate people once they settle here".//

Stating the obvious or simply wrong?

Mostly through my days in BT. I met my Hindu friends when I was on secondment up in Town, in the late 80's. It turned out that this Hindu chap
( a Jain actually ! ) lived just 2 streets away from where I was born and brought up in Wembley. We have remained friends ever since. A few years ago, I was invited to their sons wedding, which was held in Woburn Abbey.
Quite the grandest wedding that I have ever been to !
I may have given a slightly wrong impression of my home town though.
We are a University town.... in fact we have three Colleges here, and one of them is closely linked to China, in a twinning arrangement. I am not sure if official stats really shows this mix, as quite a lot of our foreigners are somewhat transient, being students. We have a small Asian population, of both Hindu and Muslim varieties, and a Chinese community. We also have a growing Eastern European community, mostly but not exclusively Polish. You can eat at a huge range of Ethnic restaurants, and we have some wonderful Asian food supermarkets.
In common with lots of places in South Wales, we have a small but thriving Italian community, mainly coming from the fact that many Italian POW's didn't return home after 1945, but stayed and opened cafes, ice cream parlours and bakeries.
And I can honestly say I have never come across any racial tension, or problems here.
But when Cardiff comes West to play The Swans in football, blood and guts have been know to flow !

Mikey, You say that the area you live in is almost 100% white, but nevertheless your friends include an assortment of immigrants from different backgrounds. It then transpires that you have one friend who you met over 30 years ago who lives miles away and another you’ve known since he cut your hair the day before yesterday. Hardly a social circle. If you insist on spinning at least keep it realistic. Don’t treat people as fools. They can read.
Don't let them cow you redvan. These are the ones who squeal foul first, when exposed as the intolerant narrow minded bullies that they really are, but like to virtue signal their own tolerance and empathy for the smug self appointed brownie points. I you have any sort of issue with say dyslexia no one on the ab will hold it against, or judge you for that problem. They are beating up on you redvan because they themselves have social issues.
