Al Fresco Eating

We have friends coming round later so I've made a start on Chicken Basque a la Delia, will finish it off once they're here, we're having it with some fancy bread. Pud is Madeira cake with strawberries, raspberries, raspberry coulis and cream. There's a huge jug of English Garden Cocktail chilling in the fridge, and another of Cosmopolitan, along with two bottles of prosecco and some beers.
It's so hot and sunny here we'll be eating outside.
You got anything special planned for this lovely summery Friday?

Drinking water is an anaethma to me unless flavoured with hops, Malt and Barley!!
I cheated on the guess the sarnie comp. They ALL taste of butter and I still had traces of butter on my moustache when Mrs retro visited :-)

The ginger bread on trials have turned out as the recipe says -a bit more like a biscuit - and jesus they arent joking - stamp them with AUG II and I could pass them off as Roman roof tiles .....

you re lucky retro - when I was isolated and everyone was asleep inc the nursing staff a dement came in to my room at 2 am and used the lav and dumped her used nappy in my clincial rubbish bin - well it could have been my bed. She later got my C difficile ....
