Handwriting

Do you think you are born with the ability to write neatly or is there something certain people have which makes them concious of how they write? My writing is readable, but not exactly neat. I have to write really slowly if I want it to be neat. What do you think?

I think some people have more of an aptitute to write neatly, just as some people are better at drawing than others, etc.

But I think the main reason for your hand-writing is the way and place that you've been taught it originally.

My handwriting is dreadful - and it gets worse the older I get, possibly because I don't write as much these days.

I really am ashamed of it, but no matter how much care I take it is still a spidery scrawl.

I can't draw either. :(

My handwriting is and always has been awful, i got loads of extra work at school to try and improve but just could not get any better

I agree with fo3nix and think some people are born with it as with drawing/artistic talent. I've always been a neat writer even though I actually write in different styles (depending on how I feel) which I have done all my life. People always comment on my neat handwriting.
