When we bought our house 6 years ago the downstairs was plumbed in with Bose speakers in the ceiling run off an amplifier and CD player. Now I use Spotify off my iPad. Is there anything that will connect my iPad to a very small amp to feed the speakers?

Presuming you've access to the amplifier, does this help? - http://macintoshhowto.com/itunes/how-to-connect-your-iphone-or-ipod-to-your-stereo.html Apologies if that's no good - I have zero experience with iThingies, but I'm certain someone will be able to help further :-)

Have you looked if there is an amp on the market that will dock with your ipad or has a built in firewire connectivity capability?
That looks good Lie In. A lot depends on the speaker requirements and any amp currently being used. Bram may be able to use his present system's amp if he has the inputs required.

Thank you very much. Thank you Togo as well but Lie-in got it. I can use the same amp. Thank you. Bram
