What Are The Benefits And Downsides Of Windows 10?

I use Windows 7 on my PC and laptop. I have Outlook 2003 on both.
Like others I am being pushed to install Windows 10. Will this cause me any problems with my Outlook 2003?
Are other programmes known to be effected by using Windows 10?

I switched from windows 7 to windows 10. 12 months ago,everything works exactly as before, very pleased with it all, no problems at all.

Better than Windows 8 (not difficult). No problems with Outlook in my experience.

I have installed W10 on two desktop machines that were running W8.1 and an underpowered elderly netbook running W7.
No problems with any of my machines nor my network which includes an old wireless multifunction printer, a NAS hard drive and two smart tvs.

Boot up time much quicker on all machines.
Seems to use less resources as nothing overheats or struggles, everything is faster and smoother.
W10 has built in 'cast to device' so I can quickly display the screen on to my smart tv.
Simple and straightforward to use once you remember that right clicking on the Windows icon opens up many day to day functions.
The search function bottom left is brilliant for finding anything on your pc.

I have not had any problems with program compatibility but I believe some have.

Downside:
No Windows Media Center but I have found excellent free, reliable alternatives.

Do you have any particular programs you are worried about?

Thanks for your expperiences hc4361.
I use Serif Page Plus and other of their programmes regularly plus ACDSee for photos.
I guess I'll take a chance and give it a go when I consider the positive answers I've had today.

I've installed Windows 10 but so far it's been a disaster.
Start button doesn't work. Cortana neither.
I can't change the time format. Control panel gives only limited access.
Wonder if I can get back to Windows 7!
