Nope!!!!!!!!!!! that would look like a retreat, and whatever the legalities of the war ( I agree that the invasion was illegal) we need to stay until we can hand over responsibility to the Iraqi security forces
It will not make a huge diference. Most people are already aware that this war is a mess and a failure. The Abu Gharib scandal which was hugely publicized created enough shockwaves at the time to question the legality of the war (and USA's credibilty) itself. Whatever occurs after that would not be comparable or on the same scale as most people would be desensitized (?) to it by now.

Also, I don't understand why the coalition troops should consider moving out, since it is not everyone but only a small handful who are guilty of these crimes. The guilty ones should be punished and the rest should carry on doing what they have been ordered to do.
I agree totally with both the above answers, but what happens if it is proved conclusivley, that a good proportion of the 'insurgents' are coming over the border from Iran?.
goldenboy can you post a link to this story please ?

Lonnie, then the insurgents should be deported back to Iran.
